Electricity supply companies must supply electricity between pre defined limits. In Australia and the EU this level is 230V 10% -6% (216V to 253V). All equipment sold within Australia and the EU must be capable of operating within these limits. To maintain this under all loadings the supply companies often supply at even higher levels close to the 253 V.
Powerstar® reduces the voltage to within the limits to match the requirements of the site.
